Alexandria signs 127,382-square-foot San Diego life-science lease
Alexandria Real Estate Equities announced a ten-year lease for 127,382 rentable square feet at its SD Tech campus in San Diego. The company described the tenant as a top-20 pharmaceutical business and a longstanding customer, without identifying it by name.
The June 25 announcement concerned a new research and development centre at 10075 Barnes Canyon Road in Sorrento Mesa. Alexandria said the agreement increased the tenant’s San Diego footprint by nearly 53%.
The company said the 253,079-square-foot development was 70% leased ahead of an anticipated initial delivery in 2025. At the time of the announcement, the project was targeting LEED Gold Core & Shell and Fitwel certifications; those were project goals, rather than confirmed certifications.
